Did you know that 43% of all nursing homes have a 1 or 2 star rating as displayed on the CMS Nursing Home Compare Website?
Five–Star Quality Rating Boot Camp for Long-Term Care is an intensive, four–day course outlining a pathway for long–term care facilities to improve a poor ranking or to maintain an excellent rating.
With the introduction of this rating system, CMS has turned inconspicuous data into crystal clear, very transparent, publicly reported information. The stars are awarded for three major components (survey results, staffing, and quality measures) and a composite rating. The composite rating is heavily weighted by survey results from the preceding three years. Mastery over these three essential elements will provide the basis of a strategic approach to quality improvement. The Five–Star Quality Rating Boot Camp for Long-Term Care will provide an in–depth review of all recent and upcoming regulatory changes and the tools and resources necessary to ensure that a facility is survey–ready all year round.
This Boot Camp will provide you with an understanding of:
- The star ratings system
- How to stay compliant with new and upcoming F–Tags
- Strategies for coping with surveyors and survey teams while they are in your building
- How to minimize and fight deficiencies under the current regulatory environment
