  • What is the focus of the MDS 3.0 Boot Camp?

    The MDS 3.0 Boot Camp is an intensive training program that focuses on accurate completion of the new MDS 3.0 assessment and links the assessment process to clinical standards of care. This program identifies process changes that will result in a successful transition to MDS 3.0 including clinical care, clinical outcomes, and reimbursement.


    Where is the course offered?

    Open registration courses are offered at various locations around the country, typically at mid-priced business hotels, such as the Hyatt Place or Hilton Garden Inn. For a current schedule of upcoming open registration courses, click on Course Locations/Dates.


    Does HCPro offer this course "on-site"?

    In addition to our open registration courses, we also offer the MDS 3.0 Boot Camp as an on-site course (with a substantial discount) for organizations that have a number of employees who need training.     What if I need to cancel or transfer my registration?

    Cancellation Policy:

    1. All cancellations must be made in writing.
    2. Cancellations received within 3 days of the date HCPro, Inc. receives the registration are eligible for a full refund.
    3. Written cancellations received between 4 days after the date HCPro, Inc. receives the registration and 15 days prior to first day of class are eligible for a refund, less a $200 cancellation fee.
    4. Written cancellations received 14 days prior to the first day of class are not eligible for a refund, but are eligible for payment transfer (credit) to another Certified Coder Boot Camp® or Medicare Boot Camp® (less a $200 transfer fee). The credit is valid for up to 6 months from date of the cancelled class.
    5. Participant(s) who do not cancel in writing will be considered as "no shows" and will not be eligible for refunds/credits.

    Does the course require any previous experience or training?

    Due to the fast paced nature of the course, it is recommended-but not required-that participants have at least one year of experience working in a SNF. However, the course starts with MDS fundamentals and does not assume the participants have any particular background or experience.

    This course is taught on a basic-to-intermediate level.


    How is the course taught?

    The course is taught using a combination of lecture, class discussion, and hands-on exercises/case studies.


    What do I need to bring to class?

    When you arrive at class, you will receive an extensive notebook of course materials. These binders will contain all the materials needed for the training. Please ensure room in your luggage for the return trip home.
