Clinical Documentation Improvement Boot Camp Online -- How does it work?

You'll view video sessions and complete course work on your own schedule, prior to instructor office hours. The course covers the same material now offered in our live intensive four-day classroom format.

- Interactive Learning
Course participants work more than 140 exercises and questions based on the course content, and our instructors review the answers in subsequent video sessions.

Video instruction is available any time of day. You choose the time that works for you.

What is the focus of the Documentation Improvement (CDI) Boot Camp® Online?
The CDI Boot Camp is a two week online educational experience that focuses on MS–DRGs and reimbursement under the IPPS; ICD–9–CM coding rules and regulations; medical record review and physician query techniques; and CDI program benchmarking and compliance initiatives. Conducted in a classroom setting, CDI specialists will learn the basic skills necessary for success in the profession. The CDI Boot Camp will also benefit hospitals with established CDI programs that need additional development.
How long will the online content remain accessible after class ends?
The online portal location for your class sessions and materials will continue to be accessible to you for 6 additional weeks once your class has ended. Your access to the site will expire 8 weeks after the start date of the course. You will receive an email prior to your access expiration to remind you of the date.
Does HCPro offer
this course "on-site"?

Does the course require any previous experience or training?
No. Because of the fast-paced nature of this course, it is recommended (but not required) that participants have at least one year of experience working in a hospital. This course is taught on a basic to intermediate level.
Is there a discount for ACDIS members?

How is the course taught?
The course is taught using a combination of lecture, class discussion, and hands-on exercises/case studies.
What tools do I need to take the class?
